The Røros Museum has approximately 9.000 items in its collection. These are historical cultural heritage items from the mining town and the outlying settlements as well as items owned by Røros Copper Works. The collection of items contains everything from; vehicles to sections of buildings, children's swings, costumes, models and tools. The collection of items entrusted to the museum is an important source of knowledge for anyone interested in studying the community in Røros and the way in which people lived, the work they carried out in the mines and the surrounding areas, as well as the items belonging to the Røros Copper Works. Now, when the museum is moving the items to a new storehouse they will be more readily available both for research and viewing.
