Other Places to Visit

Most of the buildings under the administration of the museum still stand on their original sites. We invite the public to visit these heritage sites. The mines and the facilities around Storwartz, the stamping mill and the rolling shed used in the processing of wool by the Høsa river and the grist mill at Narjordet are some examples of places worth a visit.

These historical sites tell us the history of the resources that were linked to the Røros area, whether deposits of copper ore, or an agricultural area, or even a waterfall. If you would like to have more information about these places, please call in at "Smelthytta" museum (the smeltery) and ask our staff.
